Dushmantha Chameera and Wanindu Hasaranga have been released from the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bio bubble before the 2021 IPL playoffs.
The pair will be part of Sri Lanka’s lineup for the T20 World Cup qualifiers in 2021. The RCB Twitter feed also greeted both of these players’ success in the Qualifiers and praised them for their dedication and hard work during the IPL competition.
“Wanindu Hasaranga & Dushmantha Chameera have been released from the RCB bio bubble as they join up with the SL team for their WorldT20 qualifiers. We wish both of them the best & thank them for their professionalism & hard work during IPL 2021,” tweeted the official handle of the RCB franchise.

The RCB team performed brilliantly throughout the league matches of the IPL 2021, finishing third in the standings after winning 9 of their 14 games.

Kohli-led Bangalore (RCB) will now face the Eoin Morgan-led Kolkata (KKR) in the IPL 2021 Elimination match on October 11th at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
Glenn Maxwell and Harshal Patel both heated up the venue for RCB with their amazing performances in the competition. Whereas Maxwell is the RCB franchise’s highest run-scorer with 498 runs at an avg of 45.27 and a strike rate of 147.34 with the bat, Harshal Patel is the 14th IPL season’s best wicket-taker with 30 wickets.
Dushmantha Chameera and Wanindu Hasaranga were not able to create much in IPL 2021. Hasaranga appeared in just two matches during the IPL’s UAE leg, whereas Chameera did not appear in a single game for the Virat Kohli-led team during the competition. Sri Lanka will face Namibia in their first qualifier for the 2021 T20 World Cup on October 18, 2021.
