Masterclass Stuff from Hitman Rohit Sharma; Hits his 9th Test Century

INDIA vs AUSTRALIA 1st Test Match Border Gavaskar Trophy

Skipper Rohit Sharma leading from the front in the first BGT test match against Australia

IND vs AUS, 1st Test: Rohit Sharma continues to hold one end tight even after India loses wickets at regular intervals. Hitman Rohit hits the 9th test century of his career. The shot selection and the way he batted throughout the day, show the level of skill he carries in himself.

Even though wickets kept falling Skipper Rohit was calm and composed and they cleverly outclass the Australian bowlers to reach his 44th career century. Rohit is currently batting on a score of 100* runs from 171 balls. It was simply amazing to watch the Hitman bat. There was no single moment where the skipper was troubled, as he cleverly played the Australian bowlers.

IND vs AUS: Starting the Day – 2 with Pretty Good Fashion

India started the day well with the overnight batters R Ashwin and Rohit putting on useful runs early on. Both were fortunate to get boundaries off outside edges but also managed to hit a six apiece.

The duo took their partnership into the forties and were beginning to settle down before Australia hit back. Todd Murphy was Australia’s key weapon who picked the first four wickets for the Australian side.

IND vs AUS: The fall of the Indian Team

As Rohit Sharma reaches his 9th test century, India slipped to 176/5, from 77/1 at the start of Day-2. Rohit has seen players come and go but he was the only player from the Indian side until now to keep things alive for India in the first Bordar Gavaskar trophy test match.

IND vs AUS: India on the edge of a Mountain cliff

After starting off the day in good fashion but failing to keep the momentum alive, at one end wickets kept falling while on the other hand, Rohit Sharma was stroking beautifully. Now with the skipper reaching his century, he along with Jadeja must ensure that India takes a good lead in the first innings in order to keep the pressure on the Ausis.
