Opening pair (Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma)

Shubman Gill has been given the oppourtunity to lead the Indian side for the first time. Gill is already an established opening batter at the international arena. It will be interesting to see how Gill plays under captaincy pressure.

Abhishek Sharma, who played unbelievable cricket in IPL 2024, got the chance to represent India, and it will be a big oppourtunity for the hard-hitting opening batter to make this place his own, as the selectors are looking for a permanent player at this position after Rohit Sharma’s retirement.

Middle order (Ruturaj Gaikwad, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel)

Gaikwad needs no introduction, and he will be a perfect option to come at number 3 and play a similar role, which Virat Kohli used to play for India.

Riyan Parag has received maiden India call-up due to his excellent run in IPL 2024. As the team is seeking a player for a long run at this spot, Parag will need to grab this opportunity.
