However, Shubman Gill, who resumed his innings with 31 runs, and Rishabh Pant scored crucial runs for the team. Gill made 90 runs, while Pant contributed 60 runs. Washington Sundar, who has been in good form, added an unbeaten 38 runs off 36 balls, helping India set a total of 263 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 59.4 overs.

During India’s innings, New Zealand spinner Ajaz Patel excelled, taking five wickets with his effective bowling. Additionally, Matt Henry, Glenn Phillips, and Ish Sodhi each picked up one wicket.

Following a dominant bowling performance, New Zealand came to bat in their second innings during the third Test.
