In the second Test match, the first day saw a delayed start due to rain. After winning the toss, India opted to bowl first, and Bangladesh encountered early setbacks, losing their first two wickets, Zakir Hasan and Sadman Islam. However, Mominul Haque and Najmul Hossain Shanto steadied the innings, with Mominul Haque scoring an unbeaten 40 off 81 balls and Najmul Hossain Shanto contributing 31 runs off 57 balls.

During the first innings, Indian bowlers Akash Deep claimed two wickets, while R Ashwin took a wicket. Subsequently, rain interrupted the last session of play, and the Bangladesh team managed to score 107 runs after losing 3 wickets at the end of Day 1.

Moving on to day 2 of the second Test, the match was expected to resume. However, persistent rain in Kanpur resulted in the officials officially calling off the match at 2:15 PM.

India vs Bangladesh, 2nd Test Day 3 Updates

On the third day, there was no rainfall, but the ground remained damp from the heavy rain on Saturday and a late-night shower. These conditions made it uncomfortable for the match to proceed. The Hindustan Times reported that inspectors conducted multiple field inspections at 10 am, 12 pm, and 2 pm before ultimately deciding to abandon play without a single ball being bowled at Kanpur on Day 3. While there are still two days left for the Test, the likelihood of a result has decreased.
