Pakistan has come under fire for failing to provide a safe and comfortable venue for the cricketers on their land. The problem has got even worst when the New Zealand team withdrew their white-ball series versus PAK at the last moment, and the ECB soon followed the same. Yet, several players have said that Pakistan is a safe place to visit, and the most recent addition is England’s left-arm bowler Tymal Mills. Here we have discussed about what Tymal Mills speaks on Pakistan Tour.
Mills, like many other Englishmen, has featured in the Pakistan Super League(PSL) in recent years and has even played a lot of matches on Pakistan soil. In recent days, Mills stated that he has visited the country on a few occasions and thinks it is a fantastic place to play cricket.
I am sure we will tour Pakistan in the future: Tymal Mills
Mills said that he cannot discuss why the ECB canceled their men’s and women’s trips to Pakistan because it was made on the basis of information from authoritative sources. Furthermore, the pacer said that he aspires to tour the country in the near term.
“I have been to Pakistan a couple of times. It’s a brilliant country to play cricket. The crowd is always great and the cricket is always of the highest standard. I played in the PSL and it’s a tournament that I understand really well. Obviously, I can’t comment too much on England’s cancellation because we relied on the advice we were given, however; hopefully, we will soon go there and I will be really keen to go because I have been there personally and I feel it’s a great place to play cricket. I am sure we will get there in the future,” said Tymal Mills.
Although New Zealand and England canceled their visits to Pakistan, numerous prominent Pakistanis spoke out, claiming that it was a mistake and that their country is now a safe place to play cricket. According to speculations, the Kiwis withdrew their visit at the last moment due to concern for the players’ protection.
