The Sydney Sixers have set a respectable score of 152 for the Perth Scorchers. The Sixers’ opening batters had a good start to their innings but were unable to sustain the momentum as starters Josh Philippe 32 (22) and then Justin Avendano 23 (22) missed the mark for Ashton Agar’s brilliance. The next batsmen subsequently failed to establish a wicket-to-wicket partnership.
Daniel Hughes’s excellent 24 (25) knock fueled hopes to set a massive target, but Kelly surprised him with a standout delivery. Jordan Silk 26 (22) and Daniel Christian 35 (20) stayed firm for the side to keep the Scorchers bowlers on their toes and propelling to set a good objective for the opponents.
