Sunrisers bowlers were yet again clueless as the home side was scoring runs at regular intervals and only three bowlers from SRH (Jaydev Unadkat, T Natarajan, Bhuvneshwar) took a wicket each. It was overall the show of Chennai batters where Ruturaj Gaikwad yet again scored impressively but missed out by 2 runs in scoring a century. He finished his innings as 98* off 54 balls with three sixes and 10 fours. Supporting him was Daryl Mitchell who smashed 52 off 32 balls, scoring his first half century in IPL.
Sunrisers unable to Silent the Chepauk Crowd
The aggressive side of Sunrises Hyderabad was absent in this game against Chennai Super Kings in MA Chidambaram Stadium. SRH’s top order from the likes of Travis Head to Abhishek Sharma all did not shine as CSK bowlers did not give any room for big shots.

Tushar Deshpande and Matheesha Pathirana both of them as usual inflected the pain for the SRH batter. It was Pathirana and Mustafizur Rahman, who picked up two wickets, but it was Tushar Deshpande who picked up four crucial wickets making him the leading wicket-taker for CSK in this match.
Shardul Thakur, and Ravindra Jadeja both of them picked up one wicket each. This combined good bowling effort from CSK restrict Hyderabad from chasing this total. Except for Aiden Markram’s 32 off 26 no one really played a noteworthy innings for SRH in this game.
