Chris Gayle Doesn’t Get Enough Accolades For Being The Best: Bravo

Dwayne Bravo, the all-rounder of the West Indies, feels that Chris Gayle is not praised enough for his T20 credential. The Jamaican left-hander is actually a top scorer in T20 cricket, having scored 13,296 runs in 404 games. He still has 22 centuries to go, with 82 fifties, and at the age of 40, Gayle still has big guns.

In the 2020 Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), the southpaw last played for the chattogram challengers. Gayle is among the toughest T20 cricketers right at the end of his career. After hanging the boots in 2018, Bravo, who came out of retirement, thinks Gayle deserves more significant credit for his T20 cricket contributions.

It’s impossible to match Chris Gayle’s domination

Bravo quoted in an interview as saying: ‘Chris Gayle doesn’t get all the recognition he deserves as the world’s best T20 player. “But hands down, no other T20 cricketer like him will ever be there. If you do, everybody isn’t as amazing as Gayle. Whatever you do. The game can not win, as Gayle does, “said Bravo.

Bravo has succeeded in its style as the top wicket-taker of all time. In 455 matches, the Trinidadian had 497 wickets. He has 6,307 runs with the bat for 20,500 years. Both Bravo and Gayle expected to compete in the IPL 2020, which postponed for COVID-19.

In the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2020, Gayle was recently chosen as a player of St Lucia Zouks. He played the Jamaica Tallawahs last season, but he looked a bit and a century barred the St. Kitts and the Nevis. In the IPL, Kings XI Punjab has represented him.

Bravo also seemed bemused about how the Caribbean team is named the ‘dark horse’ in the shortest format. “It is crazy that in T20 cricket, the West Indies is still considered dark horses,” said the veteran.

The West Indies are currently ranked ninth in the format under Kieron Pollard. However, they have recently swept Sri Lanka by 2-0 in the T20I series. Andre Russell became the Man of the Series.
