Brisbane Heat, led by Jimmy Peirson, won the toss and opted to bat first against the Adelaide Strikers. The Heat got off to a promising start, with opener Chris Lynn smashing 10 off 5 deliveries, who trapped with a brilliant delivery from Wes Agar. Brisbane’s other opener Max Bryant, partnered with Tom Cooper to stabilize the innings, but Cooper fell short for Peter Siddle, with just 16-runs.
Furthermore, Max Bryant joins with Ben Duckett to solidify the innings but here comes Rashid Khan into the attack for Strikers, to interrupt the building partnership by bagging Bryant 32 off 20-balls.
