Brad Hogg Feels MS Dhoni Will Retire For The Next IPL Season

Despite the fact that the management and CEO of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have dismissed the news of MS Dhoni’s retirement, the rumours have continued. In fact, the 40-year-old isn’t getting any younger, and his hitting skill has dropped with time. However, in the perspective of strategic captaincy, Dhoni remains the greatest option. And CSK should definitely keep him as captain, so Brad Hogg Feels MS Dhoni Will Retire For The Next IPL Season.

The 40-year-inspirational old’s presence and strategy of mustering his bowlers have helped CSK earn 16 points throughout this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL). However, cricketer-turned-expert Brad Hogg believes that IPL 2021 will be Dhoni’s final task as captain and wicketkeeper-batter for the CSK.

I think Dhoni will move into a management role or even the head coach of CSK: Hogg

According to Hogg, Dhoni’s position might be compromised, since his batting has lacked the swing and consistency he was renowned for during his early years with CSK as well as Team India. CSK may also have to invest a huge sum of money to preserve the services of their magical captain, with the mega auction for the upcoming IPL league in February 2022.

I think he’s going to retire at the end of the year from IPL cricket. The way he got out to (Varun) Chakravarthy the other day with the wrong un’, there was a huge gap between bat and pad. I think the reflexes of the 40-year-old are just starting to wane. His keeping has been sensational,” Hogg said on his Youtube channel.

It’s good for Indian cricket and CSK that he is still going because of his leadership out in the middle. He’s keeping things calm and helped (Ravindra) Jadeja grow as a cricketer and developing youngsters as well. Just the way that he walked off, that body language, there was a glint in the eye that said I think I’ve just lost that sharpness,” he stated.

Dhoni would be mentoring Indian Team in the next ICC T20 World Cup, therefore he may create a management role in the Super Kings’ outfit.

At the age of 40 and with the role that he’s got with the Indian Cricket Team going into that T20 World Cup, I think he’ll move into a management role or even the head coach of CSK,Hogg added.
