Rajasthan Royals are having a hard time dealing in the IPL 2021, having lost 3 consecutive games, and their next task will be difficult, as they will face CSK. Their prospects of making the playoffs are minimal, and it will be interesting to see how they face Dhoni-side. Also, former Indian cricketer Saba Karim stated that the Royals appear to be an exhausted team.
Karim added that no matter what Rajasthan tries, they are unable to create a comeback, which might be due to the fact that they are competing with multiple outstanding players. Players including Jofra Archer, Ben Stokes, and Jos Buttler were unable to compete in the UAE leg for RR in the IPL 2021 will also be a major setback.
“I get the impression; Rajasthan Royals looks to be an exhausted side. They have tried whatever is possible but for some odd reason, they have not been able to perform to their potential. They are hard done by the fact that they are missing on out so many match-winners. Whoever they have played in their XI, they haven’t been able to perform to their potential,” said Saba Karim.
I don’t see that happening with RR: Saba Karim
Karim went on to say that their concerns will only grow as they prepare to face a winning team like CSK. The most serious worrying sign for RR has been the poor form of their ace all-rounder Chris Morris. Morris, who has been hired by Rajasthan for a high fee, has failed to put magic to the board even once. And Liam Livingstone’s performance has been also very disappointing.
“Big worry for Rajasthan Royals, because in the second leg, Chris Morris has not been able to perform wither with the bat or ball. Lam Livingstone came with a terrific reputation, he has not put up runs on the board. It’s up to Sanju Samson. how much a young lad like Samson shoulders responsibility. He did get some support in the last game with Evin Lewis coming back. That is not enough. Especially when you are playing CSK, you need to be at the top of your game. I don’t see that happening with RR,” he added.
