BCCI Clears Quarterly Dues Of Centrally Contracted Players

Human existence has hampered since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, and the world has ceased to exist due to the spread of the novel virus. More than 90,000 deaths have reported so far, and the whole world is spreading as the pestilence has stopped.

In addition to human existence, the global economy has also suffered, and significant boards such as England and Australia have suggested that players take a pay cut amid the war against the pandemic. The BCCI has also hit by the outbreak and the postponement of the much anticipated IPL 2020. However, the board cleared because of all the cricketers who contracted to the center.

The BCCI has pledged not to hurt anyone despite the tough situation caused by the COVID-19 outbreak. Amid the economic downturn, the board assured that players do not need to suffer to the global financial crisis.

“Despite the announcement of the lockdown from March 24, the BCCI was ready for any events,” quoted by BCCI official.

“Plus, all the match fees for India and India A during this period, all these dues are cleared at the end of the financial year,” he said.

BCCI set to incur losses due to the postponement of IPL 2020

A BCCI official said the board’s strong financial capability helps in testing the times when other boards such as England and Australia are struggling.

“A cricket board has put its players on the Furlough (Government Aid Scheme). There are discussions about pay cuts everywhere.

However, the BCCI will suffer losses if the much-anticipated IPL 2020 discontinued this year. Shareholders are about to endure a cash-strapped league failing to start this year. The BCCI also has the work of scheduling a domestic schedule so that future private events do not clash with the IPL.
