India’s Loss Secures Australia Clean Sweep: Smriti Mandhana and Arundhati Reddy Stand Out in 3rd ODI

AU-W vs IN-W 3rd ODI Highlights For Today’s Match

Australian Women’s team completed a dominant 3-0 series clean sweep against team India. Smriti Mandhana’s record-breaking century was not enough as Ashleigh Gardner’s five-wicket haul led Australia to an emphatic 83-run victory in the third ODI at the W.A.C.A. Ground in Perth. With the series already lost, India chose to bowl first but failed to make crucial breakthroughs during the first powerplay, as Phoebe Litchfield and Georgia Voll kept the scoreboard ticking with solid contributions. Let’s take a look at the AU-W vs IN-W 3rd ODI Highlights.

Team India’s only response – Smriti Mandhana

After Richa Ghosh’s early dismissal by Megan Schutt, Smriti Mandhana anchored India’s chase with a superb 105, scoring her record-breaking ninth ODI century. She formed a solid partnership with Harleen Deol (39), and Mandhana’s partnership with Deol ended when Alana King dismissed Deol. Mandhana’s resistance was broken by Ashleigh Gardner in the 36th over.

After Mandhana, Gardner claimed four more wickets, finishing with her career-best figures of 5-30. Megan Schutt and Alana King added two wickets each, which guided the Australia team to an 83-run win and a 3-0 series sweep.
