Alana King’s Bowling Attack

Alana King was running her show in England’s first innings. Early breakthroughs were made as Garth dismissed Maia Bouchier and Brown trapped Tammy Beaumont LBW. Australia’s decent start

Phoebe Litchfield and Georgia Voll stepped onto the pitch for an early breakthrough, but England’s opening bowlers, Laurens Bell and Filer, restricted them with strong new-ball bowling. Voll’s attacking drive led to her dismissal, leaving her with limited impact on the pitch for her team.

England, despite taking just one wicket, effectively showcased their capabilities with the ball on Australian pitches, maintaining an economy rate of around two. Australia finished the day strong with a series of boundaries, ending at 56-1 without losing any further wickets. Australia trail by 114 runs and with just 1 wicket gone, they will aim to put in a strong target for the English Side.
