Akhilesh Reddy ICC Anti-Corruption Charges

USA off-spinner Akhilesh Reddy has been charged with three breaches of the ICC Anti-Corruption Code and suspended immediately from all cricket activity. The 25-year-old, currently representing Aspin Stallions in the ongoing Abu Dhabi T10 2025, now has 14 days to respond to the charges. So let’s have a look at Akhilesh Reddy ICC Anti-Corruption Charges.

What Triggered the Charges?

The ICC’s Anti-Corruption Unit booked Reddy for alleged misconduct during the tournament. The suspension comes after an investigation into activities believed to be linked to match manipulation.

Charges Filed Against Reddy

He has been accused under the following sections:

  • Article 2.1.1:
Attempting to fix, influence, or improperly affect the result, progress, or conduct of a match in the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2025.

  • Article 2.1.4:
Soliciting or facilitating another participant to breach Article 2.1.1 during one or more matches in the tournament.

  • Article 2.4.7:
Obstructing the investigation by deleting data and mobile messages relevant to the inquiry.

Performance Before Suspension

Reddy bowled four overs across the first two games for Aspin Stallions, picking up one wicket. The franchise, mentored by Harbhajan Singh, is now likely to replace him with Ashmead Nedd, the Guyanese left-arm spinner with 17 wickets in 20 T20 matches at 28.29.

A Quick Rise to International Cricket

Akhilesh Reddy made his USA international debut on April 19, 2025, in a North America Cup match against the Cayman Islands. Since then, he has played four T20Is, taking one wicket.
