Top Performers of IPL 2025 After the First Two Weeks of Action

Who are the IPL 2025 Top Performers after first two weeks?

IPL 2025 has completed a total of 19 matches of its league phase, and the start to the 18th edition has been amazing. From hard-hitting batters to pacey swingers, each team has got their own players who are showcasing their strengths. Let’s take a look at the IPL 2025 top performers after first two weeks.

Top Batting Performances

IPL’s first week saw Ishan Kishan breaking the barriers as he scored a brilliant 106* against Rajasthan Royals in SRH first match of the season, but slowly his form has been fading away. In the next few matches we saw the current leader of the Orange Cap Nicholas Pooran charge towards opposition with his batting. He has currently amassed 201 runs in 4 matches, at a strike rate of 218.47. He has been a constant force of reckoning in Lucknow Supergiants squad for IPL 2025.

Pooran is being challenged for the orange cap by the young opening batter from Gujarat Titans Sai Sudharsan, he has managed to pile up 191 runs in 4 matches at a strike rate of 150.39. What makes things interesting is he is just 10 runs shy of the top spot. The next few matches will increase the levels of excitement, with batters like Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Mitchell Marsh, and Jos Buttler giving consistent performances in their innings.

Top Bowling Performances

Mohammed Siraj was the latest player to grab a 4-wicket haul against SRH last night, he managed to pile up 9 wickets at an average of 7.75 in IPL 2025. Apart from him Noor Ahmad of Chennai Super Kings, who is the current leader in the purple cap race, he had managed to amass 10 wickets in 4 matches played, at an average of 11.80.

Australian veteran Mitchell Starc has also been performing significantly for Delhi Capitals, with a fifer against Sunrisers Hyderabad, he is a top performing bowler in IPL 2025 with 9 wickets and in 3 matches played at an economy of 8.91. As we’re done with the first two weeks of the IPL 2025, teams will be needing their bowlers to be consistent and constantly put pressure on their opposition.

Other Top Performances

Mahendra Singh Dhoni a known name in IPL, although having performed underwhelmingly with the bat, he has been the best wicket-keeper in IPL 2025. Striking the wickets as a lightning, he has helped in dismissing batter more than once, and proving he’s still got it. Another top performance comes from Mumbai Indians’ skipper Hardik Pandya, MI who face Royal Challengers Bengaluru on 7th April, 2025, will go against a Pandya who has been a beast with the ball. He has been racking up 7 wickets in his 4 matches played, and is the only player in IPL 2025 to have a fifer alongside Starc.

With the crucial mid-term of IPL approaching, these top-performers will be playing a crucial role for their teams.
