Royal Challengers Bengaluru bounced back in emphatic fashion just a day after their previous clash, defeating Punjab Kings by 7 wickets in their second meeting of the season. The quick turnaround between games did little to faze RCB, who came out with renewed intent and executed their plans to perfection.
Let’s look at PBKS vs RCB Highlights for 37th Match.

This win marked RCB’s fifth victory of the tournament, propelling them to third on the points table. Punjab Kings, despite also having five wins, now trail just behind in fourth place due to net run rate.

Punjab Kings vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru 37th Match highlights

After being asked to bat first, Punjab Kings struggled to gain momentum on a surface that demanded smart shot selection. Their innings got off to a steady start, with Prabhsimran Singh (33 off 17) and debutant Priyansh Arya (22 off 15) showing early promise. However, Krunal Pandya’s twin strikes in the powerplay pushed PBKS on the back foot.

Shreyas Iyer and Josh Inglis tried to stabilize the innings, with Inglis scoring a quick 29 off 17, but regular wickets and a lack of big partnerships prevented Punjab from accelerating.

Suyash Sharma and Krunal Pandya were the pick of the bowlers, claiming two wickets each, while Romario Shepherd and the RCB fielding unit kept things tight in the middle overs. Punjab eventually posted 157/6 in their 20 overs.

In reply, RCB’s chase started with a minor hiccup as Philip Salt was dismissed cheaply in the first over. But Virat Kohli, in sublime touch, took charge of the innings.

The former skipper crafted a masterclass knock, finishing unbeaten on 73 off 54 balls, laced with 7 fours and 1 six. Devdutt Padikkal (61 off 35) provided powerful support, adding 103 runs for the second wicket in a match-defining stand.

Though RCB lost a couple more wickets, the result never looked in doubt. The chase was wrapped up with 7 balls to spare.
