Punjab Kings registered a commanding 18-run win over Chennai Super Kings in a high-scoring clash, marking their third victory in four games of the season. Let’s look at PBKS vs CSK Highlights for 22nd Match.

With this win, Punjab climbed to fourth place on the points table, showing signs of building momentum in the tournament. On the other hand, it was yet another setback for CSK, who now find themselves on a four-match losing streak, raising concerns about their campaign.

The match at a packed venue saw fireworks from Punjab’s batting unit, particularly from youngster Priyansh Arya, who lit up the evening with a blistering century. CSK fought hard in the chase, led by Devon Conway and Shivam Dube, but ultimately fell short despite a spirited effort.

Punjab’s bowlers held their nerve in the death overs, securing two crucial points in a match that had plenty of action and drama.

Punjab Kings set the tone early with an explosive start, thanks to Priyansh Arya’s breathtaking 103 off just 42 balls. He struck 7 fours and 9 sixes at a staggering strike rate of 245.24, dismantling CSK’s bowling attack.

Although wickets fell regularly at the other end, contributions from Shashank Singh (52* off 36) and Marco Jansen (34* off 19) propelled Punjab to an imposing 219/6.

Khaleel Ahmed was the pick of CSK’s bowlers, claiming 2 wickets for 45 runs, while Ashwin chipped in with 2 scalps as well.

In reply, CSK made a steady start with Rachin Ravindra smashing a quick 36 off 23 balls. Devon Conway anchored the innings with a fluent 69* before retiring hurt.

Shivam Dube’s 42 off 27 and a late cameo from MS Dhoni (27 off 12) kept CSK in the hunt.

However, Lockie Ferguson’s twin strikes, combined with disciplined bowling at the death from Yash Thakur and Arshdeep Singh, ensured CSK were restricted to 201/5.

With this win, Punjab not only boosted their net run rate but also continued their upward surge in the standings, while CSK are left searching for answers after yet another loss.
