Nehal Wadhera vs RR Today in 59th Match IPL 2025

The Punjab Kings once again delivered yet another explosive batting display, as they posted a daunting total of 219/5 in their 20 overs. So Let’s take a look at Nehal Wadhera vs RR Today in 59th Match of Indian Premier League 2025.

Punjab Kings, after being put into bat, got off to a somewhat shaky start, losing their top three wickets inside the powerplay.

Priyansh Arya looked in decent touch with a quickfire 9-ball 12, but it was short-lived as he fell early to Tushar Deshpande. Mitchell Owen departed without troubling the scorers, and Prabhsimran Singh also lost his wicket after a brief cameo of 21 off 10, leaving Punjab reeling at 34/3.

However, the middle order rose to the occasion. Nehal Wadhera turned the tide with an aggressive and commanding knock of 70 off 37 balls, studded with 5 fours and 5 sixes. His fearless strokeplay laid the platform for a strong finish.

Skipper Shreyas Iyer contributed a handy 30 off 25 balls, anchoring the innings during the recovery phase.

But the real carnage came towards the end, courtesy of Shashank Singh’s unbeaten 59 off just 30 deliveries, and Azmatullah Omarzai’s 21 off 9 balls*, as they piled on 60 runs in the final five overs.

The bowling attack from the opposition tried to hold their nerve, but it wasn’t an easy day. Tushar Deshpande was the most successful bowler with 2/37 in 4 overs, striking key early blows.

Riyan Parag and Akash Madhwal chipped in with a wicket each, while Fazalhaq Farooqi and Wanindu Hasaranga remained wicketless, conceding at over 11 runs per over collectively.

With 220 needed for victory, the chase promises to be a high-octane affair. The batting surface looks excellent, and the ball is coming nicely onto the bat, which means the game is still wide open.

It will now be up to the opposition’s top order to match Punjab Kings’ firepower. Rajasthan, who are not in the playoffs race, will look to play fearless cricket and win the game to gain some confidence.
