SRH Continues to Struggle Against KKR
Last year’s finalists KKR and SRH face off for the first time this season in IPL 2025. With 201 runs target to chase, and SRH having a strong batting lineup which featured Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan and so on. SRH had an awful start to their innings. Travis Head ended up with 4 runs in the first over, and Abhishek Sharma was dismissed in just 6 balls for just 2 runs. Ishan Kishan too was dismissed for just 2 runs in his 5 balls played.
After their dismissals, Nitish Reddy and Kamindu Mendis tried to stabilize the game, but they too were dismissed in the coming over for just 19(15) and 27(20) respectively. Heinrich Klaasen and Pat Cummins went on the pitch and aimed at putting in strong runs on the scoreboard for SRH, but failed against KKR’s strong bowling attack. Klaasen scored 33 off 21 balls and Cummins accounted for just 14 runs.
KKR’s bowling attack was significantly led by Vaibhav Arora and Varun Chakravarthy, Vaibhav accounted for 3/29 in his 4 over stint, while Varun took 3 wickets for just 22 runs in his 4 overs stint. SRH was bundled up for just 120 runs in 16.4 overs.
