The winners of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will be handed over a prize money of Rs. 20 crores. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) will clash in the finals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. IPL 2025 Prize Money: Who Will Take How Much
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 much-awaited final is between two teams rooting for their first IPL trophy. While RCB will appear for its fourth final, PBKS will play its second final in IPL history. Being in play since the first season of IPL (2008), both teams have never lifted the IPL trophy. Therefore, this season, we will have a new team clinching the title tonight.
The prize money of the tournament is declared for the winners and runner-ups. The winners tonight will receive Rs. 20 crores, and the runner-ups will take Rs. 12.5 crores with them. Moreover, the teams knocked out at the playoffs (Eliminator and Qualifier 1) will receive different rewards. Mumbai Indians (MI), losing Qualifier 1, will receive Rs. 7 crore. Moreover, Gujarat Titans (GT), knocked out in the Eliminator, will receive Rs. 6.5 crores.
Furthermore, other awards, namely, Orange Cap, Purple Cap, Emerging Player, Most Valuable Player, Super Striker of the Season, Fantasy Player of the Season, and Maximum Sixes award, will receive Rs. 10 lakh each.
IPL Winners List (2008-2024)
Since the first season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Mumbai Indians(MI) and Chennai Super Kings have been the most successful teams. MI has won the IPL title five times(2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2020). Chennai Super Kings (CSK) tie their five trophies record with MI. CSK has won five IPL trophies in 2010, 2011, 2018, 2021, and 2023. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are third in the list of teams with the most IPL trophies. KKR has won thrice (2012, 2014, 2024).
Furthermore, the Rajasthan Royals lifted the trophy in the first-ever season of IPL (2008). The Deccan Chargers were the winners of the second season (2009) of the IPL. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in 2016 and Gujarat Titans (GT) in 2022 have lifted the IPL trophy.
