Gujarat Titans vs Delhi Capitals 35th Match Highlights

Prasidh Krishna’s 4-Wicket Burst Not Enough as Delhi Posts 203

After putting to bat first, Delhi Capitals put up a competitive total of 203 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs, thanks to a solid contribution from the middle order, despite losing Abishek Porel early. This early wicket led DC to struggle, but Karun Nair 31 off 18 balls, and KL Rahul 28 off 14 balls provided some early momentum.

The solid innings came from skipper Axar Patel, who propelled the scoreboard from the front with 39 off 32 balls. He was supported by Tristan Stubbs 31 off 21 balls and Ashutosh Sharma, who smashed a quickfire 37 off just 19 balls, which includes 2 fours and 3 sixes, boosting Delhi past the 200-run mark.

For Gujarat, Prasidh Krishna was the pick of the bowlers, taking 4/41, including key wickets in the middle overs. Siraj and Arshad Khan also chipped in with a wicket each.

Jos Buttler’s Unbeaten 97 Seals Dominant Win for Titans

In response, Gujarat Titans retaliated aggressively. Although they lost captain Shubman Gill early on when he was run-out for 7, Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler held the innings together with a crucial 60-run partnership. Sudharsan scored a free-flowing 36 from 21 deliveries before falling to Kuldeep Yadav.

The hunt came to energy with Jos Buttler holding the innings together beautifully, making an unbeaten 97 off 54 balls, studded with 11 fours and 4 sixes. He was ably supported by Sherfane Rutherford, who hammered 43 off 34 balls, keeping Gujarat ahead in the pursuit.

Even as Delhi attempted six bowlers, they could not put pressure in the middle overs. Seasoned Mukesh Kumar and Kuldeep Yadav took one wicket each, but Gujarat batting depth and control in the pursuit was too intense.

By this victory, Gujarat Titans solidified their position and reached the top of the points table, while Delhi Capitals slipped to the 2nd position on the points table.
