Changes in England Playing XI
England have made significant adjustments to their lineup for the fifth Test against India at The Oval, with captain Ben Stokes ruled out due to a shoulder injury. Stokes, who has bowled a series-high 140 overs and taken 17 wickets, expressed disappointment but confirmed the injury a tear in a shoulder muscle prevents him from bowling.

Karun Nair is slated to replace Shardul Thakur, marking his comeback after being dropped for the fourth Test. Anshul Kamboj is expected to make way, with either Arshdeep Singh or Prasidh Krishna likely to be picked.
The spin duo of Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar will be retained, sidelining Kuldeep Yadav. India’s likely XI is KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal, B Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill(captain), Karun Nair, Dhruv Jurel(wicket-keeper), Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, Akash Deep, Prasidh Krishna, and Mohammed Siraj.
