England have announced their playing XI for the final test and their captain Ben Stokes is set to sit out of the final test due to a shoulder injury. Jofra Archer is set to join him, as he is going to be sidelined as well for the final test. While on the Indian side, Rishabh Pant is out of the squad due to injury with a couple of porbable changes incoming for the 5th test at the Oval. Changes in England Playing XI

England have made significant adjustments to their lineup for the fifth Test against India at The Oval, with captain Ben Stokes ruled out due to a shoulder injury. Stokes, who has bowled a series-high 140 overs and taken 17 wickets, expressed disappointment but confirmed the injury a tear in a shoulder muscle prevents him from bowling.

Vice-captain Ollie Pope will lead the side in his absence. Fast bowler Jofra Archer has been rested, alongside Brydon Carse, as England manage their pace attack. Four changes have been made post the drawn fourth Test, with Jacob Bethell, Josh Tongue, Gus Atkinson, and Jamie Overton included. Bethell, a spin-bowling all-rounder, makes his first Test appearance of the year, effectively replacing Stokes. 

Liam Dawson, a spinner, has been dropped, leaving England without a specialist spinner. The confirmed England XI is Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope (captain), Joe Root, Harry Brook, Jacob Bethell, Jamie Smith (wicket-keeper), Chris Woakes, Gus Atkinson, Jamie Overton, and Josh Tongue.

Possible Changes in India Playing XI

India, trailing 1-2, are set to make bold changes for the final Test. Jasprit Bumrah is likely to be rested for workload management, with Akash Deep expected to return. Karun Nair is slated to replace Shardul Thakur, marking his comeback after being dropped for the fourth Test. Anshul Kamboj is expected to make way, with either Arshdeep Singh or Prasidh Krishna likely to be picked. 

The spin duo of Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar will be retained, sidelining Kuldeep Yadav. India’s likely XI is KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal, B Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill(captain), Karun Nair, Dhruv Jurel(wicket-keeper), Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, Akash Deep, Prasidh Krishna, and Mohammed Siraj.
