Bangladesh moves India’s match from Dhaka after Protest Threat 

India is to arrive in Bangladesh next week for their first tour since 2015, beginning with a one-day international series beginning December 4. All three matches were originally to take place in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Let us look into the details of IND vs BAN Venue changes.

India’s ODI series against Bangladesh begins on December 4 in Mirpur. The next two games will be on December 7 and December 10, respectively. The two-match Test series will begin on December 14 and the second Test will begin on December 22.

Bangladesh Cricket Board has moved a one-day international against India next month from Dhaka after the country’s opposition announced plans for the protest that could paralyze the capital the same day. India arrives in Bangladesh next week on December 4, with all three matches originally to play at Dhaka. The third match of the series was scheduled for the 10 of December and it is postponed due to the political ups and down in Dhaka. Also, the coastal city of Chittagong which means it will avoid a rally by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party which is expected to be on the match day. Which will ultimately bring tension to the environment when thousands of people will be on the road for the protest.

The BNP has staged several huge demonstrations around the country since last month in an effort to force the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government. “Chittagong was originally to host one Test match of India vs Bangladesh. We felt there should be an ODI at the venue too.”

Jalal declined to comment on whether the protest had caused the late venue change. But the newspaper New Age said the board had taken the decision to avoid the rally. Bangladesh will also host India for two Tests in Chittagong from December 14-18 and Dhaka from December 22-26.
