IND vs PAK 1st innings update World Cup 2023

In a high-voltage clash against India at the world’s biggest cricket stadium, Pakistan failed to live up to the expectations and posted a below par total. 

Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan tried to stable things of Pakistan but as soon as Babar walked back, the men in green faced a collapse and only able to post 191.   

Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam topped the batting chart with 50, while the last match centurion Mohammad Rizwan got out for 49. 

Indian bowlers took the center stage in packed house stadium, with Bumrah, Siraj, Hardik, Kuldeep and Jadeja all grabbed 2-2 wickets each.

Invited to bat, Pakistan started in a modest wat possible and were going on smoothly before Mohammad Siraj provided India the breakthrough with a wicket of in-form Abdullah Shafique.  

Babar Azam then joined Imam ul Haq in the middle and maintained the pace of the game with his timely shots, with things looking in control, as Pakistan on 73 in 12.2, a sudden wicket of set batter Imam again puts the pressure back on the men in green.  

The skipper Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan steadied the ship for them and modestly taking them to cross 100 first and then 150.  

With the first wicket-taker Mohammed Siraj came back into the attack again in 30th over of the game, he provided his team for what he was called for with a wicket of skipper Babar.  

Then started the collapse and as a result the last 8 only added 36 and Pakistan got all out for 191 in 43 overs.  

Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, all shared 2-2 wickets each.  

Bumrah remained the most economical among all with a figure of 7-19-2 at 2.70 runs per over.
