The Haryana Hurricane is the only entrant from the 80s. Kapil Dev smashed West Indies bowlers to all corners of the ground. He scored 72 off 38 balls at a strike rate of 189.47! His knock comprised 7 fours and 3 sixes scoring 46 runs in boundaries.
#9 MS Dhoni – 192.30
India failed to win a single game across formats on the entire tour of England in 2011. MS Dhoni, the captain during the tour tried valiantly to put up a tall score. He scored a 26 ball 50 comprising 5 fours and 2 sixes! Dhoni’s strike rate during that innings was 192.30.
#8 Virat Kohli – 192.30
It was this knock that showed that Virat Kohli can start an inning in top gear. India chased down a total of 350 in 43 overs showing what chase master Kohli can conjure up. Kohli brought up his 100 of just 52 balls striking at 192.30. It remains the Indian record for the fastest ODI century.

It was the second game of the 3-match ODI series between India and England. India had lost quick wickets in a matter of a few overs. Rishabh Pant decided to take matters into his own hands. He smashed a 40-ball 77 striking at 192.50.
#6 MS Dhoni – 194.28
This game is mainly remembered for Sachin Tendulkar’s 200. It was the first time that a batsman had scored a double century in an ODI. But it was MS Dhoni’s final flourish that helped India post a huge score. He scored 68 runs off just 35 balls at a strike rate of 194.28.
#5 Sachin Tendulkar – 196.55
Any ODI list can’t be complete without Sachin Tendulkar. In a crucial game against Bermuda in the 2007 ODI World Cup, Tendulkar scored 57 runs off just 29 balls. His strike rate during that knock was 196.55!
#4 Yuvraj Singh – 215.62
It can’t be a mere coincidence that all the top 5 knocks on this list were scored in the 2000s. Yuvraj Singh went big against Bangladesh in 2004. He scored 69 runs of just 32 balls at a strike rate of 215.62. Yuvraj scored 8 fours and 3 sixes during that knock.
#3 Rahul Dravid – 227.27
It was less a knock and more a statement. Rahul Dravid went bonkers against New Zealand in Hyderabad in 2003. He smashed 50 runs off just 22 balls to stun the Kiwis. Dravid’s strike rate of 227.27 is the third highest on this list.
#2 Virender Sehwag – 239.13
How can a list featuring batsmen with the highest strike rates not include Virender Sehwag? The maverick batsmen plundered the Kenyan attack to score 55 runs off just 23 balls. He struck at 239.13 hitting 7 fours and 3 sixes.

The most surprising name on this list is undoubtedly Ajit Agarkar. He still holds the Indian record for scoring the fastest ODI fifty. Agarkar smashed 25 balls 68 against Zimbabwe striking at 268. He smashed 7 fours and 4 sixes during that blistering knock!
