AUS vs PAK Highlights Today Match 18 World Cup 2023
Australia registered their second win in the tournament after defeating Pakistan by 62 runs in a high-scoring game in Bengaluru today.
Pakistan, however, were right through in the game when Abdullah Shafique and Imam ul Haq were batting, but as soon as they walked back, the same middle order chaos haunted the side, with Rizwan tried his hand, but was unable to carry the game on his shoulders alone, and Pakistan lost their second game in a row.
Earlier, David Warner and Mitchell Marsh set the tone for the Aussies with a 259-run opening stand. Warner hit 163 and Marsh hit 121, and on the strength of those knocks, the men in yellow were able to post 367.

Invited to bat, Australian openers took the opportunity with open hands, and started to smash the ball all over the park.
The Aussies in no time crossed the 50-run mark, 100, 200, and even 250 without losing any wicket. Both Warner and Marsh were looking flawless and were targeting to break the highest opening stand in World Cup record set by Tillakaratne Dilshan and Upul Tharanga (282).
Shaheen Afridi, however, didn’t let that happen, and sent Marsh back to pavilion. The quirky batter shot 121 off 108.
With Warner still going strong from one end, the batters at the other side didn’t manage to maintain the rhythm set the Aussie openers.
Warner walked back after scoring 163, while the next best batter for the side was Marcus Stoinis with 21.
Australia were able to post 367 for in 50 overs. Shaheen Shah Afridi was the pick of the bowler for Pakistan with a 5-wicket haul.

Abdullah Shafique and Imam ul Haq also provided a strong start to their side and did a 134 partnership for the opening wicket.
They were in control, but as soon as Shaique (64), and Imam ul Haq (70) got out, the men in green lost the track.
There were some moments in the game when Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel were batting, but that wasn’t enough for the Asian team to win the game.
Adam Zampa starred with the ball for Australia with four wickets. Marcus Stoinis took 2, while Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood shared 1-1 each.
