Australia posted a huge total of 399/8 in their 50 overs, showing that Australia is back in the contest only to dominate.

Australian Middle Order Provides the Perfect Stability

Australia was one wicket down after scoring 28 runs in the first four overs. Then it was time for David Warner and Steve Smith to steady the ship and help Australia go through the middle overs without any trouble.

Steven Smith scored 71 of 68 balls before getting dismissed by Aryan Dutt. David Warner at the other end was also scoring runs at a huge pace. Marnus Labuschagne also did his part as he scored 62 of 47 balls.

David Warner’s World Cup Century Streak

David Warner’s World Cup Century Streak, In a thrilling clash against the Netherlands, Warner smashed his 22nd one-day international century. He reached the milestone in just 92 balls, featuring 10 elegant fours and three mighty sixes. But that’s not all! Warner has been on fire with back-to-back centuries, including a massive 163 against Pakistan and now 104 against Netherlands.

Adding to the excitement, Warner pulled out his trademark celebration in “Pushpa-Style” which left the cricket world buzzing. With six World Cup centuries, Warner now stands shoulder-to-shoulder with legends like Sachin Tendulkar, trailing only behind Rohit Sharma.

Glenn Maxwell scores the fastest century in ODI World Cup history

A jaw-dropping moment as Australia’s Glenn Maxwell set the ODI World Cup stage on fire. Maxwell unleashed the fastest century in World Cup history, achieving the three-figure mark in just 40 balls. That’s lightning fast!

Maxwell’s onslaught ended after he scored 106 off 44 balls. His innings included a stunning display of 9 fours and 8 massive sixes.

But the fireworks didn’t stop there, he reached his fifty in just 27 deliveries, and then, in the remaining 13 balls, he added 52 runs to his tally. Thanks to Maxwell’s heroics, Australia posted their second-highest World Cup total, a staggering 399/8.

Netherlands Fail to Stop the Run Flow of Australia

In a high-scoring cricket match, the Netherlands initially showed promise by taking an early wicket in the fourth over against Australia. However Logan van Beek was the top bowler in the Netherlands team as he managed to secure four wickets for his team, Aryan Dutt also chipped in with a single wicket yet the Australian batsmen continued to score freely.

The most unfortunate highlight of the game was Bas de Leede, who conceded a record-breaking 115 runs in his 10-over spell, albeit with two wickets to his name. Despite the Netherlands’ efforts, Australia’s relentless run flow proved too much to handle in this record-breaking encounter.

The Netherlands now needs 400 runs from 50 overs to win the game.
