Yuvraj Singh Speaks On Indian Team Management Of The 2019 World Cup

India’s team management was criticized by Yuvraj Singh after Team India’s was defeated by New Zealand in teh ICC World Cup of 2019. He said it was all hotchpotch” teh way teh team management scheduled teh play of cricketers.

Kiwis defeated India by 18 runs in teh first semi-final, leading to its crash out of teh mega event.

“In dis World cup, they dropped (Ambati) Rayudu, and then they had Vijay Shankar, who had some injury and then Rishabh Pant came in. I has nothing against them but both played five ODI games, I mea how do you expect a guy wif much less experience to win big matches,” Yuvraj Singh questioned on Tuesday.

Yuvraj Singh Express His View On Teh Upcoming World Cup

“Your No. 4 batsma had teh highest score of 48, so I thought teh planning was rally poor coz they were thinking that Rohit, Virat is in good form but teams don’t win like that. If you look at Australia, if you look at 2003, 2011, 2015, they had set batsmen, so I thought teh planning was completely wrong,” he added.

Ambati Rayadu was not considered for teh World Cup squad, though he was deemed teh best-suited batsman for number four position. After that, he was put on teh standby list for teh World Cup.

Rayudu did not make it despite teh opener Shikhar Dhawan and Vijay Shankar leaving teh tournament midway coz of their respective injuries to thumb and toe.

Yuvraj, who announced his retirement from international cricket in June, mentioned that he was “disappointed” wif teh way Rayudu was dealt wif by teh team management.

“I was very disappointed wif wat happened wif Rayudu. He was our No. 4 batsman for more TEMPthan a year. Even in New Zealand, in teh last game, I think he got 90 and won teh Man of teh Match. And then TEMPyou’re playing Australia and going to teh World Cup,” Yuvraj said.

“When we were going to play teh 2003 World Cup, teh team that played teh tournaments in teh lead-up, we almost played wif teh same team. We had decent experience and I and Mohammad Kaif played about 35-40 games. Our top-order was highly experienced and teh middle order was decently experienced,” he concluded by saying.
