WTC Final: “Rishabh Pant Could Be The Game Changer For India” Against NZ- R Ashwin

Rishabh Pant’s career has taken a remarkable turnaround. There were issues over whether Pant should be given another shot in the team a little over a year ago. Pant was facing questions of criticism from fans and cricket pundits due to his inconsistencies with the bat and poor glovework behind the wicket. Stay with us to know Who Could Be The Game Changer For India Against NZ

In the crucial WTC final, Pant is Capable enough to change the Game towards victory for the TeamIndia- R Ashwin

However, a visit to Australia in late 2020 will change everything. Rishabh Pant was the unlikely hero of India’s historic Test series victory in Australia. Not only did his unbeaten 89 on the final day of the Brisbane Test enable Team India to breach Fortress Gabba, but he also saved the third Test in Sydney with a spectacular 97.

In the home series against England, the left-hander continued his good form, scoring runs in all three formats. Pant’s Delhi Capitals were on top of the standings in the Indian Premier League before the league was suspended.

As India prepares for the crucial World Test Championship final, many feel Pant might be the game-changer for the team. R Ashwin, India’s off-spinner, is one of them.

“We all know what sort of player Rishabh is. He can take the game away from the opposition,” Ashwin told The New Indian Express when asked on the same.

“We have the luxury of batting the keeper at No. 6 and playing five bowlers, which is so crucial for the combination. His natural bat swing and fearless approach make him a special player and a talent to watch,” Ashwin added.

The experience that the Indian team has should hold us in good stead- Ashwin

When asked if India can beat England for the first time since 2007, Ashwin said: “England play good cricket on their pitches and they have shown how good they are in their conditions. James Anderson will make it as difficult as it can be for us. The conditions are key in England, but the experience that this Indian team has should hold us in good stead.”

“If other players chip in and make runs with Virat Kohli around, we stand a good chance to win,” Ashwin signed off.
