Will David Warner play in Champions Trophy 2025: The numero uno of Australia in cricket for quite a long time has officially announced his retirement from international cricket with a twist.
David Warner is one of the most sought-after players, having represented Australia in over 100 in each format.
Warner has struck a whopping 18995 runs across all formats in his 15-year long international career, which is the second best after Australia legend Ricky Ponting.
The Southpaw, however, will continue to play in leagues all around the world, and the twist about his retirement is whether he will play in Champions Trophy 2025 or not,

Well, despite announcing his retirement from all forms of cricket, Warner has left the door ajar to play in Champions Trophy 2025 if selectors add him into the squad.
“I will continue to play franchise cricket for a while, and I am also open to playing for [Australia] in the Champions Trophy if selected,” he posted.

The majority of my career was at the international level. It’s been an honour to be able to do this. 100+ games in all formats is my highlight.
“I want to say thanks to everyone out there who has made this possible. My wife and my girls, who sacrificed so much, thank you for all your support. No person will ever know what we’ve been through. For all the cricket fans out there, I truly hope I have entertained you and changed cricket, especially tests, in a way where we scored a bit faster than others. We cannot do what we love without the fans, so thanks.” – wrote David Warner as caption for a post shared by him on Instagram.

Fans can see Warner in action during the upcoming Canada’s GT20. He is an also part of BBL’s Sydney Thunder, will play in ILT20 for Dubai Capitals, and can be seen in IPL 2025.
