Australia was thrashed by a score of 1-4 in both series. With the T20 World Cup in less than 2 months, this will not look well for the Kangaroos. Langer has now stated that he is remembering his playing career when he was cut from the Australian team.
Langer stated that he had believed those would be the difficult days of his life, but that those events had strengthened and improved him.
“I look back at 1993, 1998, and 2001 when I was dropped from the Australian team. I was devastated when they happened and thought they were amongst the worst times in my life. Yet I look back on them now and realize that those experiences, as gutting as they were at the time, made me stronger and better as a player,” said Langer in an Interaction.

Justin Langer went on to say that the circumstance he is in right now is difficult, but that he is convinced that as a result of his present experience, he has grown as a coach.
Whenever the side is successful, everyone is delighted, according to Langer, but when the team fails, people start pointing fingers and seeking reasons.
“The situation at the moment is very tough but I am confident that I will become a better coach from it. We all got a lot off our chests. I think we are all in a better place now. When you win, everyone is happy and gets on with things but when you are losing, that is when the finger-pointing starts and people look for excuses,” said Langer.
Even when the Kangaroos have had a difficult time in recent times, Langer pointed out that the Australians just won The Ashes and were considered No. 1 in Test and T20I cricket. All the criticism will go away whenever Australia keeps winning, according to the Australian Head Coach.
“We have had a rough trot in recent times but we retained the Ashes only a little while ago and were ranked No.1 in Test and T20 cricket not that long ago. Get back to winning and you won’t hear about anything else,” concluded Langer.
