Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh React To Gas Leak Tragedy In Visakhapatnam

In the morning of horror in Visakhapatnam, a massive toxic gas spill led to the deaths of at least eight people and triggered hundreds of illnesses in the port city, Visakhapatnam. The poisonous gas spill spread its havoc over a five-kilometer radius, and many individuals had to hospitalized immediately.

Considering the adversity of the gas spill, it is expected that the death toll will notch up because many people who are still being treated are confirmed serious. After the gas started to leak in the early hours, several people were left lying unconscious on the road. Children and the elderly were particularly affected by the accident, and the entire world was shocked and saddened by the accident.

In the Amid of the coronavirus outbreak and the lockdown, this incident has brought more suffering to the lives of people in Vishakhapatnam. PM Narendra Modi also released a statement about the incident and said he had spoken with the Home Affairs Ministry and NDMA officials. He also prayed for Vishakhapatnam for the safety and health of all after the tragic incident.

Ravichandran Ashwin also expressed grief over the incident

After the sad news started to circulate on the Internet, several prominent celebrities expressed their condolences on Twitter. Several cricketers have shared their sorrow at the incident and prayed for the people who are currently admitted to hospitals.

Current Indian skipper Virat Kohli also expressed sorrow for the tragedy, and he shared his condolences to the families who lost their family members in the accident. Yuvraj Singh, a former India all-rounder, also expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased and prayed to the recovery of those who keep fighting in hospitals today.

Ravichandran Ashwin has also shared feelings of the gas tragedy and described the visuals as ‘extremely disruptive’ while raised awareness in social media of the COVID-19 outbreak. During a time when all over the world are facing the hardship of the outbreak of coronavirus, such tragic news was a shock for many, including Ravichandran Ashwin.
