India is currently on a 21-day lockdown amid coronavirus outbreaks. All state governments are doing their part to combat the deadly virus, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi also addressed the nation regarding it. On Friday, while talking to citizens, he urged everyone to switch off their home lights at 9 pm and light up candles, or diyas, mobile torch for nine minutes in solidarity to support the health fighters.
These are tough times for the country, and it is time for everyone to stand together. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma alluded to this in their recent tweets. Both of them asked their fans and followers to come out at 9 pm and support the PM Modi initiative.
Virat Kohli said that the power of the nation is in the hands of people just like the stadium’s power was in its audience. He said that it was time for India to show the world that they are together during this pandemic and that it has the ability to come out of it.
