Vijay Hazare Trophy Final: Abhimanyu Mithun Takes A Hat-Trick; Along With Mayank Agarwal Architects Karnataka Victory

Abhimanyu Mithun, a Karnataka pacer, has played a total of nine international matches, four tests and five ODIs, with his last game back in December 2011 in Indian colors.

He made news on Friday when he took a hat-trick against Tamil Nadu on Friday in the Vijay Hazare Trophy final.

Murugan became Mithun’s third victim as he was caught by Krishnappa Gowtham at extra cover as Tamil Nadu ended their innings at 252.

Mithun had earlier removed Murali Vijay for a duck to give Karnataka a solid start in the first place. Earlier in the 46th over, he got his second wicket over when Karun Nair picked up a fine long-on catch to dismiss Vijay Shankar(38).

it was Mithun’s first five-wicket haul in List A cricket. He finished with figures of 5/34.

Meanwhile, Mayank Agawal played a breezy knock of 69 off 55 balls as Karnataka won their fourth Vijay Hazare Trophy title win against Tamil Nadu.
