Munro’s unbeaten 67 helps Rockets stroll to six-wicket win over Spirit

Colin Munro’s unbeaten score of 67 helped Trent Rockets upset London Spirit in The Hundred at Trent Bridge.

After Alex Hales was dismissed early, the left-hander led the run chase alongside Tom Kohler-Cadmore by hitting 10 boundaries off 37 balls.

Kohler-Cadmore also made a good contribution in the chase with his 41 off 28 balls before walking back to the pavilion.

The Hundred: Trent Rockets Vs London Spirit Match Highlights

This win was made possible by the Rockets’ bowling department as they restricted the Spirit to 122 runs. Rashid Khan took the number of wicket in the process (3), Luke Wood, Samit Patel, and Sam Cook each took twos, as the Rockets went on to win by a considerable margin.

The Spirit, who started The Hundred campaign with four straight victories and begun the day with a net run rate of +1.218, are currently trailing the Rockets in that statistic by one game, with the Rockets at +0.631 and the Spirit at +0.609, respectively.

It was Trent Rockets’ spinners Rashid Khan and Samit Patel, who took the complete charge of the game and propelled their team to the top of The Hundred standings.

While Patel claimed the prize wickets of Eoin Morgan and Ben McDermott as they both threatened to make significant contributions, Khan, upon his return from international duty, clean bowled three opponents for the cost of 25 runs.

The Rockets were able to finish their journey home with 21 deliveries remaining because to Colin Munro’s unbeaten 67 from 37 balls and Tom Kohler-inspiring Cadmore’s 41 off 28.
