Tasmania All-Rounder Gurinder Sandhu Gets Mixed Up In A Silly Run Out

In Australia’s domestic championship, Marsh Cup, an uncommon incident was noticed. Tasmania’s all-rounder Gurinder Sandhu scored his highest List A rating towards Queensland on Monday and his innings helped his team to an easy win. However, the manner in which he got out was hilarious and unacceptable. Sandhu was involved in a terrible run-out when he was dismissed for 51.

His earlier List A high-score of 21* was timely as he and James Faulkner put an important partnership for Tasmania. On 49, Sandhu pushed a ball out to mid-wicket, getting to his half-century. He then attempted a second run and completed it successfully. The pair went for the third and Sandhu reached home safely, forgetting one important factor. Sandhu did not slide his bat or floor his foot over the rope.

After watching it, former Australian captain Allan Border, who was shocked with it, was, however, quick to sympathize with Sandhu. “I’ll tell you what this would deserve an uppercut if this is run out,” Border stated on Fox Sports commentary. “Oh Gurinder Sandhu, what are you doing? Don’t worry about someone else giving him an uppercut, give yourself an uppercut Gurinder because that’s just dumb cricket. You’d give an under ten kid a kick up the backside for that. No point saying too much right now, later on, you might sit him down.”
