South Africa completed a hat-trick of Super12 triumphs by crushing Bangladesh in Abu Dhabi on November 2 to advance to the semi-finals of T20 WC.
South Africa have stormed themselves back into the race after failing to begin their T20 WC campaign as they dropped to Australia and are the only nation in their pool, aside from England, to have a significant net scoring rate. Bangladesh, on the other side, added one more defeat to their previous three, but the one today was undoubtedly the most disappointing.

However, Tabraiz Shamsi was in the wickets, as he has done throughout the year, taking 2/21, whereas Dwaine Pretorius grabbed one. However, it was Nortje’s stats that stood out the most: 3.2-0-8-3. Bangladesh were comprehensively beaten out for 84 in 18.2 overs due to the united fire of the RSA bowlers, marking their 4th loss by the moment their innings concluded.
During the pursuit, they did launch several questions at the rivals, but that total was never maintained. South Africa dropped their opening wicket in the first over of their counterattack as Taskin Ahmed caught Reeza Hendricks lbw, and Quinton de Kock, who hit 3 boundaries in his 16-run innings, was cleaned up by Mahedi Hasan to collapse as the 2nd wicket within the powerplay.
Rassie van der Dussen was not at his finest, but he stuck in there to reach the mark on 27 balls after Taskin dismissed Aiden Markram for a 4-ball duck. Van der Dussen batted with captain Temba Bavuma at the opposite end for the most of his innings. South Africa won the attempt with 6.3 overs and 6 wickets to play, including Bavuma unbroken on 31 off 38, with a six and 3 boundaries.
