Few months to go for the most exciting tournament of the T20 World cup. India, Pakistan, West Indies, and England are a few strong sides and favorites to win the cup. There are some match-winners who can single-handedly win the match for the team and for the former Australian Cricketer Brad Hogg feels Suryakumar Yadav is the front runner to win the player of the series award. Let’s look at Brad Hogg About Suryakumar Yadav.
Brad Hogg About Suryakumar Yadav
Brad Hogg is sure that Suryakumar’s exceptional form and skills will be too difficult to ignore for Indian selectors and he’ll definitely play all the matches for team India.
“I think Suryakumar Yadav is definitely going to be in the World Cup. Virat Kohli will be opening with Rohit Sharma and you’ll have Suryakumar Yadav coming in at No. 3. I just think he’s expanded his game… the range of shots that he’s got… he’s unorthodox as well so he can play different ramp shots on both leg and offside, but he can also attack you and use his feet,” Hogg said.
I think Suryakumar Yadav is the man for India: Brad Hogg
Brad Hogg has made the bold predictions and kept Suryakumar above Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma for the player of the series award as he takes the all-important one-down position in the team.
“I just think he is going to be the difference in this particular tournament. If he stands out and puts the bowlers off with that array of shots, I think he is going to set the tournament up for India. For me, I think Suryakumar Yadav is the man for India and I think he’s the man to watch at the T20 World Cup. I think he might be Player of the Series at the T20 World Cup. That’s a big call so far out,” Hogg added.
The Indian side will be a strong batting side with Virat and Rohit opening the innings with Suryakumar being one down. KL Rahul should ideally be coming at number 4 with Destructive Risabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, and Ravindra Jadeja to finish off the innings. There can be definitely changes by selector but Indian batting will be very difficult to break as well. They are capable of single-handedly winning matches for the team.
