Healy left the crease after scoring 22 off 21, Gardner remained there.

Erin Burns didn’t manage to score some runs in this game as she gone for 1. And the Sixers was again slipped to back foot with that shock.

Gardner, however, was playing her game from the other end, and in no time recorded her fifty, but her innings didn’t last for long. Lauren Smith removed her for 53.

Sammy-Jo Johnson and Rachael Haynes then steadied the ship with their 32-run partnership.

Johnson, however then left the crease after scoring 22.  Haynes remained there and did a 53-run partnership with Chloe Tyron then.

Thunder were looking in manageable form as they were at 113 for 3 in 15.5 overs.

But, a setback after losing 2 back to back wickets of Rachael Haynes and Chloe Tyron left the team very behind in the game.

The other batters didn’t manage to add more runs and as a result Sydney Thunder lost the game by 15 runs.

Hannah Darlington, however, tried her best with an unbeaten 21 off 9, but it wasn’t enough to hand her side a victory in a crucial match.

With this win, Sydney Sixers moved way ahead of other teams, as they won 6 out of their 7 games and now have 12 points on their side. While the second best team Perth scorchers only having 9 points in the same number of matches.
