SRH vs RCB Head to Head Battle 2022, Records, In IPL History

Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Head To Head Records Preview:

It has been a week of fluctuating fortunes for these two teams placed in the middle of the table. Sunrisers Hyderabad who prior to this week was placed second in the table finds themselves at the sixth position now. RCB who had a middling return found some form with their win over CSK. It will be an interesting contest with both teams clearly knowing there is very little scope for slip-ups.

Current Form: Sunrisers Hyderabad

The Sunrisers Hyderabad have had a rather strange tournament. They began the competition on a dismal note losing their first two games. Everybody wrote them off after such a start, but SRH bounced back and bounced back in style. They went to win their next 5 games in a row. SRH’s pace bowling unit stood out. They dismissed RCB for just 68. It was one of the finest exhibitions of seam bowling.

SRH looked in top form. Their middle-order duo of Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran formed the main batting core. The rest of the batters played around these two. SRH’s template of chasing down totals worked wonders. It was also largely down to Kane Williamson calling it right at the tosses. Their juggernaut was halted when they lost the toss for the first time. Gujarat asked SRH to bat. The orange army despite posting a huge score failed to defend it. It started their losing streak again. SRH has now lost three on the trot. They will be eager to get back to winning ways.

Current Form: Royal Challengers Bangalore

The perennial challengers for the title, RCB were fearing whether they are repeating the mistakes of the past. After a strong start to the tournament, RCB stuttered. They went on to lose three games in a row. RCB (against SRH) were shot out for 68, the lowest score posted this season. They failed to chase down a score of 145 against RR. It was the lowest score that a team failed to chase this season.

RCB failed to defend a below-par score against GT. The three losses exasperated RCB fans. They started fearing if RCB are going to go down without a fight. And thankfully they did! RCB went on to win a close game against CSK. It lifted the spirits of their fans. With this win, the sixth of their season, they are now back into the playoffs race big time.
