Sourav Ganguly on 13 April to meet With BCCI Officials About IPL 2020

The BCCI Hasn’t Confirmed Anything As Of Now:

The coronavirus hazard has generated trouble for the Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI). The Indian Premier League (IPL) scheduled for 29 March to 24 May has been suspended as of now. Yet, with the Indian government likely to prolong the lockdown until April 30, clouds are now happening completely over the tournament.

A lot of talks have been going on this year’s rounds about the T20 competition. Yet as of now the BCCI has little to add. Nonetheless, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly spoke in a recent interview about the IPL 2020 possibility and the tournament plans.

When asked about this year’s IPL’s future he mentioned that the BCCI was tracking issues. He said the current scenario will not require the board to keep the IPL in any way while also expecting that the lockout would last until mid-May.

The BCCI Cheif Said He Needs To Speak:

“We are continuing to track changes. We really can’t reveal something at the moment. So what’s to know anyhow? Airports are shut down, people are stuck at home, workplaces are closed up, nobody is permitted to travel out. So it will look that that is how it will be before mid-May

Where do you get matches, where do they come from? It’s basic common sense that nobody is in favor of some kind of sport anywhere in the world at the moment, forget IPL, “Ganguly said as he talked to the media.

There have been rumors that BCCI looks forward to hosting a shortened IPL but this seems very impossible to happen in May at least. A BCCI official had also disclosed that if the tournament begins early-May, the board may keep the whole season in a limited period.

He’d already been questioned about the tournament launch. To this, the BCCI chief said before making any remarks, he wanted to talk with the board’s office-bearers. “After discussing to the other office-bearers (of BCCI) on Monday I would be able to comment on that. But technically speaking, since anywhere in the world life has come to a standstill, where the sport has a place in this, “added Ganguly.
