Six Pakistan Players Join England Tour After COVID-19 -Ve Test

Six more players test negative in COVID-19 tests:

Pakistan’s touring squad is set to go after six more players found negative in the COVID-19 test and became eligible to join the former squad of 20.

Six Pakistan cricketers- Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riaz, and Shadab Khan all are found negative in the first test, which was held last week and now all are underwent a second-time COVID-19 test in three days. All the cricketers are in quarantine in a  hotel of Lahore and ready to travel to England later this week.

Now wicketkeeper Rohail Nazir and Musa Khan will join the team of 20 players. All the players will travel to Manchester by a chartered plane. The plane is arranged by ECB. Along with players, there are also 11 support- staff members. Head coach Misbah-ul-Haq will travel with the team from Lahore, Waqar Younis, Pakistan’s bowling coach will arrive in England from Australia and physiotherapist, Cliff Deacon will travel from South Africa.

After the first round of COVID-19 case came positive arranged by the PCB, Riaz and Hafeez tested themselves at a laboratory privately and found negative. But the PCB didn’t consider the test and again done the test.

In this meantime, Haris Rauf, Imran Khan, and Kashif Bhatti have tested positive, but they are asymptotic and are in quarantine. After some days, the test will be conducted again to eligible to travel to England as two positive results are necessary.

Malang Ali, team masseur tested positive two times while his replacement Mohammad Imran has tested positive once. Both of them will stay in Pakistan to finish two rounds of testing. The team that reached  England also underwent another testing on Monday and now they are waiting for their results.

The England tour of Pakistan comprises three Tests and three T20Is in the month of August and September. All six matches will be played without spectators.
