The young Indian All-rounder Shivam Dube has played an impressive knock in the second T20 internationals of three-match series against West Indies in Trivandrum. He attacked visiting bowlers and smashed them with boundaries.
The West Indies captain Kieron pollard has won the toss and chose to field. Moreover, west indies’ bowlers have proved the captain’s decision right by taking the wicket of Indian opener KL Rahul early in the innings. KL Rahul caught by Shimron Hetmyer in the bowling of Khary Pierre.
India skipper Virat Kohli is expected to bat at number three but surprisingly, all-rounder Shivam Dube came out to bat. Many would have thought that the experiment to play the young cricketer in the top order might backfire but that wasn’t the case
Shivam Dube has slowly started his innings. he took his time to get settled on the wicket. He smashed his first boundary against Jason Holder as he tried to play a pull shot on a short-pitched ball only to edge it for a boundary. It was a much-needed boundary for the left-handed batsman to get some momentum in his innings. In the next over against the same bowler, he went for a six and four on back to back deliveries.
Shivam Dube has scored his maiden half-century in T20I cricket in 27 balls. Anyhow, the Dube could add only 4 runs before he was caught by Shimron Hetmyer in the bowling of Hayden Walsh. The young all-rounder has scored 54 runs in 30 balls before his knock came to a halt. After watching a swashbuckling knock from Shivam Dube, the fans were delighted for the 26-year-old batsman and congratulated him over his knock through twitter.

Delight to see this move. This is captaincy and planning. Credit to @imVkohli and the team management. Shivam Dube made the most of it. This is how careers change.

Sometimes it needs one hit to get going. Holder gave Dube a short one and he has teed off since. Was 12(14), then 35 off the next 10

Very well played Dube. He reminds me of Yuvraj Singh somehow #INDvWI I am not sure why. Perhaps the fearless cricket part.
