Suryakumar Yadav and Prithvi Shaw, who are being held in quarantine in Sri Lanka, must pass 3-negative RT-PCR tests before flying to England. Because they were in close touch with all-rounder Krunal Pandya, who tested positive for COVID-19 before the 2nd T20I against Sri Lanka, the Indian team management advised them they needed to be segregated. Six people are being held in isolation in Colombo, aside from Shaw and Yadav. Shaw and Yadav Must Pass 3-COVID Tests
Suryakumar Yadav, Prithvi Shaw will have to return three negative COVID-19 tests to leave for England – Report
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is expected to announce more replacements for Shaw and Yadav, since the England government’s tight rules may prevent both players from being healthy in time for the five-match Test series against England, which begins on 4th August.
Shaw and Yadav will go to the UK as the initial substitutes players for Shubman Gill, and Washington Sundar, and Avesh Khan, according to a last-minute BCCI decision.
The BCCI is reportedly making all necessary preparations for Shaw and Yadav to join the Indian squad for the high-octane Test series with England, according to reports.
Shaw and Yadav to join the Team India for the high-octane Test series against England: Reports
Shaw and Yadav Must Pass 3-COVID Tests. However, in order to board the flight, the two must pass 3 COVID-19 tests, each of which must be negative. Both Shaw and Yadav sat out the final two T20 matches as India fell to Sri Lanka 2-1 in the series.
Furthermore, India’s five-match series versus England kicks off the countdown to the next World Test Championship (WTC) cycle. Despite points on the line and a new two-year cycle beginning in 2021-23, the teams will be desperate to get the series off to a successful beginning. Given the importance of a win in such a protracted series, India will be hoping that its batting and bowling units mix.
The Indian squad had some positive news as vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane rejoined to practice after sustaining a left hamstring injury. He returned to practice and was spotted batting with the rest of the team.
If Rahane is unable to play due to injury, India has backup alternatives in KL Rahul and Hanuma Vihari.
