IPL 2021 had to be postponed indefinitely due to the cases of COVID inside the bio-secure bubble. The remaining games of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will resume in the United Arab Emirates later this year around September 2021. BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla confirmed the news on Saturday shortly after the Special General Assembly (AGS) of the board. According to media reports, the Indian board can organize the tournament in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 19 to October 10, just before the ICC T20 World Cup. With the tournament to be played again in UAE, there are chances that few foreign players won’t be joining the tournament in fear of COVID-19. Shakib Al Hasan Will Not Get NOC For IPL 2021: BCB President

Shakib Al Hasan likely to miss the remaining season of IPL 2021. Bangladesh star Shakib Al Hasan might have to leave the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 earlier than expected after the new quarantine rule introduced by the country’s health ministry. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Nizamuddin Chowdhury on Monday said they have asked the duo to inform the board about their plans.

Bangladesh health ministry has imposed quarantine rules for travelers from India and South Africa. People from these 2 countries will have to go through a mandatory 14-day quarantine period on their arrival in Bangladesh. Thus, both Shakib and Musafizur will have a mandatory quarantine for 14 days on their arrival in the country. This can be helped if the BCB manages to get some relaxation from the ministry.

BCB will need special permission from the Directorate General of Health Services to get some relaxation. As per the reports of Cricbuzz. BCB will need special permission from the Directorate General of Health Services to get some relaxation. Relaxation looks highly unsure for players after the pandemic damage done in India and across the globe.

“We have asked the players to let us know what is their plan for the next 15 days while we have also asked the health ministry to know what kind of quarantine protocol the two players will need to follow,” BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.

In Shakib’s absence, KKR will be without the key player that bought in a recent auction with Pat Cummins not traveling to UAE too. This will create a huge problem for KKR as they need all the assets to qualify in the Top 4 after only winning 2 matches of the first 7 matches.
