Kerala wicket-keeper batsman Sanju Samson made his maiden double century in the List-A cricket during the ongoing Elite Group A game against Goa in Alur on Saturday.
Samson had a rough season, and just scored one half-century in five matches of the tournament till now, and the 24-year batsman smartly converted his stats into formidable innings.
Sanju came in to bat at No.3, during the 4th over of the innings. He shared a massive partnership of 338 runs with Sachin Baby and boosted Kerala score to 377/3 in 50 overs.
He scored an unbeaten knock of 212 runs in just 129 balls which included 21 fours and 10 sixes. Other than Samson, Sachin Baby contributed with a crucial knock of 127 runs in 135 runs which included 7 fours and 4 sixes.
Now, Samson Samson has become the sixth Indian batsman to cross the 200-run mark in the List A format.
Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Karn Kaushal are the other batsmen who have achieved the feat in the past.

SANJU SAMSON. TAKE A BOW.
Double century in a 50 over game! What an innings! If he gets enough runs and stays consistent, then it’s just tough to keep him out of the Indian squad.— Sooraj Jayaraman (@yoyosooraj619) October 12, 2019
