S Sreesanth Names Best Bowler And Batsman:
During a recent interview, the former Indian cricketer Sreesanth revealed the best batsman and bowler in the cricket world currently, during a Q&A session with a leading sports website.
Sreesanth took the names Virat Kohli and Bumrah, both of them have remained at the top of ICC rankings for a substantial time until their recent dip.
Meanwhile, Sreesanth’s career was tainted by the spot-fixing allegations which unraveled during the 2013 IPL. The BCCI imposed a life ban on the fast bowler.
In the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup, the Kerala pacer was part of the World Cup-winning team.
He took the catch of Misbah-ul-Haq, the final wicket that got India to win in the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup in South Africa. At the 2011 World Cup at Wankhede stadium in Mumbai, Sreesanth also took part in the finals to face Sri Lanka.
Sreesanth chose the 2011 WC victory when he was asked to make a choice between the two memorable moments in his career. He revealed how Yuvraj Singh and Sachin Tendulkar helped him to ease his nerves during the final.
“In 2011, I was a little nervous, but Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh motivated me to bowl. Since it was the World Cup and we are playing at home, everyone on the side wanted to win the final at Wankhede Stadium at any cost for Sachin Paaji! Winning the final in front of the electric crowd was a great experience. It was also my last ODI match in the Indian colours, “said Sreesanth.
With him being allowed to take part again in the domestic circuit, Sree wishes to wear the Indian colors back in the coming future.
