Rohit Sharma Opens On What Made India Win In Hamilton

A very fantastic win India has registered with the help of two sixes in Super Over which was handed by Rohit Sharma in Hamilton in 3rd T20I against New Zealand. As India has gained the benefit of 3-0 lead with it India has also collected the victory of the 5-match T20I series.

During the post-match presentation, Rohit Sharma said that the final over of the match which was bowled by Mohammed Shami made it helpful to tie the game. With his bowling, Shami stunned everyone as he dismissed Williamson and Ross Taylor to stop New Zealand. In the track of India, the bowling of Shami was helpful to tie the match which turns the game towards Super over.

“In my opinion the last over of Mohammed Shami was important, and that helped us to record a victory, not my two sixes. It was Shami’s over where we defended nine runs. Without that it was not easy,” Rohit said.

” Nicely the wicket settled in as the two set batsmen were out. One batsman was batting on 95 and at the other end, there was their most experienced player. Shami was great who had bowled that over and gave a direction to the game which turned into Super Over.”

This is the year of the T20 World Cup and according to Rohit, the consistency of India and the run which is compulsory to win in a format, for the side there is a great chance to identify the winning mantra and identify players for specific roles by the management.

” Whenever anyone gets an opportunity, it has counted by them. Shikhar Dhawan as well, Against Sri Lanka when the last series was played by him against Sri Lanka, he had a crucial 50 and after him, there was KL Rahul who had a good form during his last T20s, probably he has got 4 or 5 fifties,” Rohit said.

” So for the team, it’s a good sign. That’s how it looked by us. For many of our players it’s important to be in good form and after that what happened with final XI and everything which has to be decided once each player is available. Including all players, captain and team management everyone is required to sit together and recognize who is the right player for a particular game. That’s how I am seeing this,” Rohit added.
